Little Italy is the short run of South 10th Street and Pacific Street just south of downtown, where bakeries and storefronts outlasted the work that brought the families here.
Orsi's still bakes on Pacific. Sips on 10th, Via Farina, and Salerno's II hold the 10th Street row. Go early if you want bread that is still warm.

Italian immigrants began settling along South 10th Street in the 1890s, establishing bakeries, grocers, and social clubs. The Santa Lucia Festival (started 1925) is still celebrated annually. The former Sokol Auditorium, built by Czech immigrants, was reborn as The Admiral — now one of Omaha's best mid-size concert venues. BLUEBARN Theatre relocated here in 2016, adding contemporary theater to the neighborhood's cultural mix.
