Terms of use
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms cover the GO: Guide to Omaha website at https://go-omaha.com and the GO Omaha iOS app. Both are operated by Vlcan Art LLC. Using the website or the app means you agree to these terms.
Who can use this
You need to be at least 13 years old. GO: Guide to Omaha is a general-audience city guide and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.
Accounts
You can browse the whole site, and most of the app, without an account. An account is an email address and a password, or a one-time sign-in link sent to that address. You are responsible for access to that email, and for what happens on the account.
Your display name is the name other people see beside a check-in, a photo, or an RSVP. Pick one you are willing to have shown.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete yours from the You tab in the iOS app. If you signed up on the website, email us and we will delete it. The privacy policy says what deletion removes.
What you post
You can post check-in selfies, crowd photos, a display name, and RSVPs. You own that content.
By posting it, you give Vlcan Art LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host it and to display it in the app and on the website: to the people that feature is for, and, for a photo we approve, to the public. The license lasts while the content is up. Delete the content or your account and the license ends, except that we may keep a copy long enough to act on a report or to meet a legal duty.
Photos are reviewed before anyone outside your account sees them on a public page. Sharing a check-in selfie or a crowd photo does not by itself put it on a venue page. It stays off the public site until someone on our team has looked at it and approved it. Display names and RSVPs are shown to the people that feature is built for — the guests on an outing, and people you are connected with — without that same public-review step. The rules in the next section apply to all of it.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, including the right to show any person who appears in a photo, and that the content does not break these terms or anyone else’s rights.
No tolerance for objectionable content
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or for abusive users. Objectionable content includes harassment, hate, threats, sexually explicit material, anything that sexualizes or exploits a child, gratuitous violence, illegal activity, and spam. Abusive use includes targeting another person, going around a block, or coming back after a ban.
If you post objectionable content or abuse another person, we remove the content and ban the account that posted it.
Reporting
In the app, use Report on the photo, the check-in, or the person. Or email support@go-omaha.com. We review reports within 24 hours. When a report is upheld, we remove the content and ban the user who posted it.
Blocking
You can block another person in the app. A block works in both directions: you stop appearing to each other, including on live presence, and any connection between you is removed. Only the person who placed the block can lift it.
Tickets and other sites
Links to venues, ticket sellers, and other merchants leave our site. The purchase happens on the seller’s website, under that seller’s terms, and the seller is who charges you. We cannot change, refund, or look up an order placed with them. For a problem with a ticket, contact the seller who took the payment.
Some of those links are affiliate links, including links a commerce script on the website rewrites. We may earn a commission if you buy. Whether a link earns us anything has no bearing on which events and places appear, or how prominently.
Event information
Times, dates, prices, and the rest of a listing are gathered from venue websites and ticket sellers, and they can be wrong or out of date. We do not warrant that a listing is accurate, complete, or current. The venue or the seller is the authority. Check with them before you travel or buy.
No warranties
The website and the app are provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, Vlcan Art LLC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent Nebraska law allows, Vlcan Art LLC and its members are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, or for a decision you made from a listing, a photo, or a link. Our total liability for a claim arising out of these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. The service is free, so that amount is usually zero.
This limit does not apply to liability that the law of Nebraska does not allow a contract to limit.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes, and the new terms apply from then. Using the website or the app after that date means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
